The beauty of patch days. We didn't really do anything new, but a whole bunch of stuff died this week:

Ring of Fear, Kreizenn, Mirenilla, Jorlleag, Ikatiar x2, Eashen, Yelinak, Zlandicar x2, Klandicar, Rhags, Arch Lich, Cazic Thule x2, Burrower, Va`Dyn, Itraer Vius x2, Shei x3... and Tunare of course.

If only VI wouldn't patch in the middle of of raids.

So the new UI is out. After approximately 10 hours of patching (Luclin launch anyone?) most of us finally managed to get in the game, only to spend the next hour trying to figure out where the f*** our spells went. Add another half hour to get a bit of an order into them.

Mezzes are broken left and right... what the heck? Mouselook broken. Switches targets on its own. Everyone have Aego? What's the icon for Aego again? KEI?

Is it the interface's fault that we sucked last night? Probably not, but hey, gotta blame it on something.

Anyway, between sucking at IV and sucking at the burrower ring we managed to drop Shei flawlessly (minus DT'ed tanks of course), and got rewarded with some shiny new stuff:

The Ring of Thule. I have to say this is one of the most fun encounters in the game. Hats off VI. Last time we got pretty much owned. So we went back last night, prepared with some basic ideas of what to expect. Didn't get to finish the ring, but we killed the Avatars of Dread & Fright:

Another Crimson Tempest First! Believe it or not but we've never had a chance to fight Xerkizh the Creator before. And wouldn't you have guessed it, he's dead. Really. Seemed a bit like THO on steroids (ymmv). A note to Verant: We DON'T need more caster weapons! Put some armor into Planes of Power!

Yes, we did it again, and yes, it was flawless except for the DT'ed tanks. Loot wasn't spectacular, but we did receive a new-to-The-Nameless item (correct me if I'm wrong), the +10% to Tinkering (duh) Robe of Tinkering (gnome only, of course), which, incidentally, went to the sole gnome in the zone -- we didn't have any on our raid.
